Employee Spotlight: Natalie Nicosia

Meet Natalie Nicosia, a supervisor assistant at Rainbow Academy Learning and Child Care Center. Natalie started her career at Rainbow Academy Learning and Child Care Center three and a half years ago and has a bright future ahead. The job responsibilities she takes on are as follows:

a. She assists the supervisor by collaborating with employees and relevant licensing bodies and community agencies to accomplish the objectives of the organization.

b. Encourages team-building by modeling open communication and positive working relationships with employees and families.

c. Assists the supervisor in ensuring the organization complies with all provincial legal requirements.

d. Is a resource to staff to ensure the program and the curriculum meet the goals, objectives, and vision of the organization.

It’s tough to put into words Natalie’s importance, but the reason we’re featuring her on our blog this month is to showcase our appreciation for her efforts. Natalie has quite the reputation amongst staff who know her as well as among our clients.

What makes Natalie unique is that she routinely foresees the client’s needs and ensures that they’re met, making her remarkably loved by clients. She has a strong knowledge of the child care policies, procedures, and regulations, including the Child Care And Early Years Act and Public Health. Also, she has strong interpersonal skills and can create respectful, nurturing, and empowering relationships while building a cohesive team. Moreover, she develops positive relationships and collaborative partnerships with families and maintains professional boundaries and constant awareness of the “client” relationship.

She invariably goes the extra mile, takes the initiative, and makes the Rainbow Academy Learning and Child Care Center look good.

Natalie has genuine care and love for the business, and we absolutely love the integrity with which she works.

When we asked her why she loves working with us, she grinned and said: “Working with a wide range of diverse families and children at Rainbow Academy has taught me how to adapt to individual learning styles and methods of communication. Collaboration with the families and other educators have been a key to my teaching methods in daily programs.
