Being a parent is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, but that doesn’t mean it’s free of stress and challenges. As a parent, you often have to juggle between your personal requirements, your job, and taking care of your children. If you and your spouse or partner work full-time, or if you are a single parent, “doing it all” is next to impossible. However, with Childcare as an option, you can ensure that your child receives care, attention, and a balanced environment for growth. Simultaneously, you get the space and time to handle your own needs.

At Rainbow Academy Learning & Child Care Center, we understand the struggles you go through as a parent, and we want to help you care for your children when you cannot be around. For this reason, we’ve designed a before and after school program for children in kindergarten and up to grade six who require care before school starts and at the end of the school day, as well as during PA (professional activity) days, bus cancellation days, March Breaks, Christmas and New Year Breaks. We offer play-based programs that complement the regular school day with a mix of exploration, guided independent activities, quiet time, and outdoor learning. Our before and after school programs also operate according to the Child Care and Early Years Act and Child Care Licensing Standards. That way, you are assured of our service quality and standards.

Our Childcare program goals
The purpose of our before and after school Childcare program is to establish a friendly family atmosphere and create a responsive, inclusive environment to make the most enriching place for kindergarten and school-age children in their local community. At our Childcare center, we help your children build nurturing relationships with their educators who will encourage their individual development and attend to their emotional needs. We will plan activities for them based on their specific interests to explore arts and crafts, science, math, reading, and several other subjects. We even offer opportunities to take on leadership roles in the program. That way, your children grow up to be mentally strong and intuitive leaders.

Our qualifications
Besides the activities and lessons we include in our programs, we understand that you want to know more about our staff and their qualifications. After all, they will be engaging with your children when you aren’t around. To assure you of our commitment to supporting and developing your kids in the most positive ways, we are open to all your questions about our programs and experts.

Our qualified staff members are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) and are in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators. Some of them even have a diploma or degree in the study of Child and Youth Care. Additionally, all of our staff have rich experiences working with children aged four to twelve and are members in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.

How to make the most of our services?
If you’re interested in enhancing the value of our Childcare program for your child’s specific needs, we are always happy to help. But to ensure this, you need to maintain open communication with our staff to build a relationship between your family and our Childcare center. Based on the requirements we discuss for your children, we will send you emails or call you with regards to anything about your children or their classes.

Apart from your child’s needs, you can also tell us about your work schedules so that we can accommodate your needs through our different Childcare programs. Depending on your family’s circumstance, you can choose before school, after school, before and after school care, or only non-school days, and you can choose full-time or part-time care as well.

Our service cost
The cost of our Childcare services largely depends on your child’s enrollment. For pricing details, please contact our office at (905) 857-3544 or email us at rainbowacademy@rogers.com. If your child is enrolled in our full-time before and after school program, the fees include PA days, bus cancellation days, March breaks, Christmas and New Years’ breaks, and all meals.
